Glasgow-based artist ALLKNIGHT, a recognized and respected voice within the melodic house scene for many years, is stepping firmly into the spotlight as a producer with her latest release, the "Becoming" EP. Dropping today on Enhanced Music’s esteemed Colorize imprint, this five-track project marks a significant evolution for the singer, songwriter, producer, and DJ, consolidating her recent solo singles and introducing two compelling new compositions that underscore her burgeoning production capabilities. The EP represents a pivotal moment, offering listeners a comprehensive sonic journey that distills her artistic vision and technical growth.
A Carefully Curated Collection of Sound and Emotion
The "Becoming" EP features a carefully selected lineup of tracks, including the previously released singles "No Way Out," "Electric Love," and "I Found You." The latter, a collaboration with L.GU., signifies ALLKNIGHT’s first venture into production partnership, showcasing her willingness to explore new creative avenues. The EP is further enriched by two entirely new records, "Overcome" and "If Here Was Forever." These tracks highlight a significant development in ALLKNIGHT’s approach, as she invites another vocalist, MØNE, onto her own production for the first time. This deliberate inclusion of external vocal talent on her original productions demonstrates a strategic expansion of her creative palette and a testament to her confidence in her own production framework.
Exploring the Nuances of Collaboration and Sound
On "Overcome," ALLKNIGHT takes the helm of production, crafting a soundscape that is both uplifting and introspective. The track is characterized by a bright, optimistic chord progression that floats over a relaxed, yet engaging beat. Lyrically, the song delves into the universal theme of overcoming self-doubt and emerging from challenges with renewed strength. This introspective narrative, coupled with ALLKNIGHT’s meticulous production, creates an immersive listening experience that resonates deeply.
In contrast, "If Here Was Forever" leans more towards the energetic pulse of the club. With its driving rhythm and palpable dancefloor energy, the track is designed to captivate and move audiences. The collaborative process between ALLKNIGHT and MØNE on both "Overcome" and "If Here Was Forever" has yielded a remarkable display of artistic synergy. Hearing these two tracks juxtaposed reveals the breadth of their creative range and the potent chemistry that emerges when they work in tandem. This duality within the EP underscores ALLKNIGHT’s versatility as a producer, capable of crafting both introspective anthems and high-energy club tracks.
A Producer’s Journey of Self-Discovery
ALLKNIGHT herself has articulated that the "Becoming" EP has been instrumental in solidifying the sonic identity she has been diligently pursuing. "The goal was to push my limits as a producer, and by really stepping into that role, I have learned so much in the process," she stated. This self-reflection highlights the EP’s significance not just as a musical release, but as a milestone in her artistic development. The inclusion of MØNE on the EP carries particular weight for ALLKNIGHT, reflecting a deep and enduring professional relationship. "We have been working together as a team for the last 4 years, and I really wouldn’t be where I am today without her, so it only feels right to have her on this EP as a collaborator," ALLKNIGHT commented, underscoring the personal and professional bonds that fuel her creative output. This acknowledgment of MØNE’s contribution speaks volumes about the collaborative spirit that underpins the project and ALLKNIGHT’s gratitude for her support system.
A Trajectory of Growth and Recognition
The "Becoming" EP builds upon the foundation of solo work ALLKNIGHT has consistently released since her integration with the Colorize label. Prior to this chapter, she cultivated a robust discography by lending her vocal talents to a distinguished roster of artists, including Marsh, Jody Wisternoff, Le Youth, Rezident, Durante, Robby East, and MYRNE. Her vocal contributions have graced releases on highly respected labels such as Anjunadeep, This Never Happened, and Lilly Era, establishing her as a sought-after vocalist with a distinctive melodic signature. This extensive background in vocal performance has undoubtedly informed her approach to production, imbuing her own work with a nuanced understanding of melody, emotion, and arrangement.
ALLKNIGHT’s presence on the global stage has also seen significant expansion throughout the past year. In 2026, she made her highly anticipated festival debut at Luminosity Beach Festival in Zandvoort, a landmark moment in her career. This was followed by a cross-country tour of the United States as part of the Colorize summer tour, sharing stages with fellow artists Estiva, Mees Salomé, and m_y. Furthermore, ALLKNIGHT has already graced some of the most iconic venues in electronic music. Her performances at Red Rocks, The Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles, and Piknic Électronik in Montreal, as part of Marsh’s 2024 US tour, attest to her growing prominence and ability to captivate large audiences. These high-profile performances not only showcase her talent but also serve as crucial platforms for her evolving artistic identity, allowing her to connect with a wider fan base.
A Celebratory Launch and Future Horizons
The official unveiling of the "Becoming" EP was marked by a vibrant release party held in London on September 14th. This event served as a fitting celebration of ALLKNIGHT’s artistic achievement, bringing together fans, industry peers, and collaborators. Looking ahead, ALLKNIGHT’s schedule remains robust, with upcoming sets slated for London’s esteemed E1 venue and a highly anticipated appearance at Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE). At ADE, Colorize will be commemorating its 15th anniversary, a significant milestone for the label that has been instrumental in fostering ALLKNIGHT’s career.
